What others are saying... |
Linda,
Thank you again for your wonderful show! Everyone absolutely loved it. I got a tremendous amount of positive feedback. Something funny, light and not about work was exactly what the crowd needed to end their evening!
Many thanks!

"Linda Belt has proven her mastery of the art of comedy, making
those around her laugh and enjoy her presence.
Linda takes what we all see, do, wear, shop for, eat, talk about
and whatever else and manages to make us all look at the absurdity
and humor in our lives and the world around us. Unlike the talking-heads
of television who can also make us think about our lives, Linda
has a way of bringing the world into focus from the perspective
of a Jewish daughter of hard-working Jewish parents from the gritty
streets of Jersey City, NJ. That vantage point, and the baggage
that travels with it, can take the most insurmountable in our lives
and make us laugh at our position and take a new look at the possible
outcomes.
Okay, so you may have some issues with bringing a loose cannon
of comedic entertainment into your House of Worship, I can understand
your reluctance. All that I can say is that having seen Linda handle
her material and the audience in front of her with agility and
sensitivity, while still being able to have the audience in near
painful "stitches," I would highly recommend that you
welcome Linda into your House and let her work her magic into reality."

I want you to know that we may need you back in
the spring – all of the feedback was tremendously positive
and while others have been proposing other types of events all
of the ladies are pushing for another ladies comedy night! Everyone
thoroughly enjoyed themselves – THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK
YOU! It was a pleasure!
I must tell you our pastor rarely comments on school events and
he personally came over to tell me that he heard nothing but great
things with our ladies night – my hats off to you Linda for
making our event such a success!
Thanks again!
- Terry
Hi Linda,
You are so gifted as a comic. I had the true pleasure of seeing
you today at the luncheon given to the PreSchool teachers at
the Comfort Inn. I did not know that our Director hired a comic...so
you were truly a gift! Just a little side note...please thank
your Mom for me, I will no longer be eating the pretzel out of
the bowls!!!!!

"We were at Lake Morey in Vermont this past weekend
and you were fabulous!!!
...
It was great just to laugh and relate to all of the things you were
saying about family life. Your husband, your children and of course the PTA.
We loved it and laughed out loud. We did not know there was going to be a comedian
there for the ladies weekend and it was a big bonus for us. Thanks for the
fun!"

“She’s versatile enough to use in any slot, although I prefer to have her close a show for the simple reason that I would never want to follow her. She’s
that strong!!”
- Barbara Jurgelas, Comic / Booker
“Your opening act was exactly what we had envisioned and hoped for to begin the program. Some of the comments that we received were ‘delightful, fantastic and loved her!’ You

"Belt didn’t disappoint [her friend, or] the
audience, launching into sassy bits about love, life, men, motherhood
and PTA moms; Belt covered it all."
